LAUNCH OF OLA - 14th of October, 2020
17h - 19h (CET) on Zoom
Invitation to the launch of the Online Language Animation methods and website
Over the past months, we have been working hard every week to create and adapt language animation and other creative education methods to the online format we are all forced to work with. Back in April, what started as experimentation sessions among peers rapidly became an online laboratory, which enabled us to adapt and record 22 online activities for language animation and intercultural learning. With the financial and pedagogical support of the French-German Youth Office, each activity was published on a website in the form of a video tutorial (in English as a common language) and a PDF activity sheet (in many languages), accessible to anyone all around the world.
And as we know there is no better way to discover a method than to experience it, we are thrilled to invite you to join us in a very experiential session on the 14th of October, during which we will of course present the project, but also and mostly facilitate several of the activities and answer your questions.
Please let us know until the 12th of October if you plan to attend, so we can send you the access link before the session. Participation is free. All you need is a stable internet connection and a calm environment. We recommend you use a computer, but it is possible to participate via smartphone too. You don’t need a Zoom account.
The session will take place in English, French, and German.
We look forward to seeing you on Zoom, to celebrate what seemed like an impossible task -- adapting language animation to online gatherings -- and share with you what we have learned along the way, so that you can, in turn, use these methods with your groups.
